The Release Candidate 2 for WordPress 2.5 was released yesterday and I uploaded it to my test site to view it. Additionally, I saw the video Matt Mullenweg posted on the development site. The video shows the new gallery feature that comes with the media uploader. You can upload various fotos at once and then display them entering the snippet into the code of your post. After saving the post, a gallery with thumbnails of the photos is shown and each thumbnail is clickable. Exciting, imagining how I struggled to find a suitable gallery solution in the past.
Furthermore, I was happy to see the media gallery and uploading function work in Firefox now. Thanks to the guys working to make WordPress what it is (got to say that at least once 
)

Small Potato announced it on his blog recently: WPDesigner.com has now been sold. According to his entry, the new owner, Pawel Ciszewski, will keep the Themes Club up and running. Welcome Pawel! And, congrats to SP for creating and running such a great blog and resource 
SP will be present in today’s WordPress Weekly Podcast, which I will listen to. WPDesigner.com is one of the top sites when it comes to WordPress Themes I think, and I will definitely keep an eye on how it will be going in the future. SP also said he would stick around at the blog while travelling so we might expect to hear from him too from time to time.

Some days ago it became known that Small Potato was selling his beloved blog Wpdesigner.com. Now, looking at the auction, I see that somebody placed a “buy it now” bid. If I remember correctly, I read about the buy-it-now-sum being 65.000$. I am curious to know who the buyer is and what will happen to the domain and blog in the future, not to mention the themes club…
