The Release Candidate 2 for WordPress 2.5 was released yesterday and I uploaded it to my test site to view it. Additionally, I saw the video Matt Mullenweg posted on the development site. The video shows the new gallery feature that comes with the media uploader. You can upload various fotos at once and then display them entering the snippet into the code of your post. After saving the post, a gallery with thumbnails of the photos is shown and each thumbnail is clickable. Exciting, imagining how I struggled to find a suitable gallery solution in the past.

Furthermore, I was happy to see the media gallery and uploading function work in Firefox now. Thanks to the guys working to make WordPress what it is (got to say that at least once ;-) )
